A Cozy Night Slipper ep 70
I slipped back inside through the crack of the terrace door, glad to leave the cool night wind behind. Resting near the dark curtain hem sat a thick wool felt slipper, its curved toe arched like a tiny cave. I halted three hops away, tilting my neck sideways to check for any sudden twitching. It stayed peacefully still. Waddling up, I pressed my beak against the rim and shoved until the opening yielded into a wide, cozy hollow. I scrambled inside, turning two neat circles to test the fuzzy fleece sole beneath my knotted rope toes. Tucking my beak into my chest, I let out a sleepy murmur, thoroughly sheltered for the night.
