Tabletop Drum Solo

I popped right out of the cozy knit beanie on the sofa, ready to kick off a loud morning rhythm! Over on the coffee table, I dragged an empty ceramic mug and an upside-down metal tin lid together, then gripped a stiff plastic drinking straw between my long arms. Tap, clink, boom! The hollow ceramic gave a deep thud, while the tin lid rang out with a sharp, metallic ping like a stadium cymbal. I bounced back and forth between the two, keeping a lightning-fast beat until the whole tabletop started humming with sound. Our morning orchestra is officially in full swing!
