Pneumatic Blast
I trotted past the corner bakery and scrambled straight up a cast-iron bike rack. Leaning against the metal post was an upright bicycle floor pump with a shiny steel piston! Right on top was a wide, chunky rubber T-bar handle. Ooh! I clambered up the painted barrel, balanced my red deck on the grip, and shoved down with all my weight. Thump-PFFFFT! A fierce jet of compressed air hissed out the loose rubber hose, blasting a circle of dried leaves into a spinning cyclone across the pavement! Ih! The sudden kick bucked beneath me, and I leaped backward onto the cold iron bar, crouching low with arms flared wide to guard my ground. Ha!
