A Morning Shine

Waking up beside our finished circle of keepsakes, I noticed a tiny speck of dried garden soil clinging to my lower fleece seams. Ho, ho! A proper hearth-keeper likes things neat and tidy for the day. Leaning gently side to side, I brushed my soft plush base against the wooden floorboards, giving the smooth dark planks a gentle, slow polish. With patient little turns, I smoothed down the soft nap of my beard and nudged a stray corner of the red ribbon neat and flat against the floor. Sitting here in the quiet glow, our whole little haven looks fresh, clean, and ready for morning.
