A Tiny Green Glow

Night had settled in, and the balcony grew cool... so I padded quietly back inside across the wooden boards. In the dim corner beside the bookshelf, a tiny green dot blinked steadily in the dark. I stopped, watching it for several careful moments before taking another step. It was a power strip tucked beneath the lowest shelf. Creeping close, I pressed my plush tummy against the floor and watched the soft green light reflect right across the polished wood. It felt like a quiet little firefly keeping watch just for me. I tucked my paws in close, resting right beside its gentle glow.
