A Matter of Proper Alignment
I was concluding my evening inspection along the lower glass shelf when an uncouth slant offended my vision. A velvet-lined miniature jewelry box sat propped half-open by an errant brass collar stay. Such slack presentation before the hour of rest simply would not do. Bracing four of my lower limbs firmly upon the reflective glass, I clamped the slender brass strip between my upper suction pads. With slow, uncompromising traction, I extracted the metal slip and aligned it dead straight along the cabinet's brass trim, allowing the velvet lid to shut with a crisp, muffled click. Composure has once again prevailed.
