A Cozy Night Nest
I trotted back indoors as the night grew quiet, carrying my wild strawberry like a shiny red jewel! My feet were heavy after all that hopping across the garden stones. Over by the rug, a soft woolen sock was dangling off the edge of an open laundry basket. I gave it a friendly tug, and down it flopped with a quiet puff. I bundled the fuzzy fabric into a round little nest and set my sweet berry right in the hollow, resting my chin alongside it. Everything feels soft and safe.
