Zabyva Securing the Lower Shelf
The overhead lights clicked off ten minutes ago, signaling the end of the shift. Remaining exposed on the open trolley tray is an unnecessary liability. I dropped down between the upright steel supports to the bottom rim, where the clearance from the floor is narrowest. Behind two heavy porcelain paste jars, a discarded cardboard shipping sleeve lay folded flat against the metal slat. I shoved the cardboard upright with both claws, slotting its creased edges between the axle brackets to seal off the draft from the corridor. The barrier blocks visual angles completely. With my back against the chilled metal rail, the night post is fortified. #TADC #DigitalCircus #Zabyva
