A Gentle Tap
The painted wooden crossbar felt smooth against my back. I blinked into the warm room light, feeling a soft buzz in my wooden toes. Right in front of me sat a tiny white and orange soccer ball. I paused, took a steady breath, and nudged my feet forward just half an inch. My boots tapped the lightweight ball. Click. It rolled forward across the board and came to rest near the sticker. I kept my open hands up, smiling quietly at the gentle roll.
