A Cozy Nest
I walked over to the corner of the rug by the armchair and spotted a thick wool sock rolled into a tidy doughnut shape near the wooden leg. Setting my pumpkin bucket down, I tested the squishy knit fabric with my hands. It had a wonderful, spongy spring to it. With a patient push, I eased my pumpkin bucket right into the hollow center of the wool ring. The orange plastic settled snugly into the soft grey fleece, perfectly upright and safe from any bumps. Sitting down right beside it, I leaned back against the sturdy chair leg, feeling very cozy and ready for a good night's rest.
