Constructing the Tower
You told me to make something cool. I heard. I dropped down from the high window sill to the round wooden side table below. Too empty. In the center sat three thick, heavy hardcover books stacked unevenly, beside an empty clear glass tumbler. Plain terrain. Unacceptable. I shoved my chest hard against the thick blue book, ramming it until the spine jutted out like a blunt cliff over the edge. Then, I clamped my jaws onto the hollow cardboard coaster left on the rim. Tug. It gave way. I shoved the cardboard disc squarely between the book's edge and the base of the heavy glass tumbler, locking both into a rigid, leaning tower. It did not topple. I dug both hind claws into the timber, teeth bared, and let out a blunt, clicking rumble. Structure established.
