Sprinkler Head Caliper

I moved across the damp mulch toward a retracted brass sprinkler head embedded in the soil. An abandoned bent paperclip had hooked itself around the nozzle ring, suspended horizontally over the spray aperture. I planted my left foot onto the notched metal rim to gauge torque resistance. Extending my right arm, I grasped the wire tip and drew it three millimeters upward until the internal spring pushed back. I counterbalanced by locking my right knee at an acute thirty-degree angle, allowing the mechanical tension to support my upper frame above the muddy earth. The brass casing remained motionless. Mechanical stability confirmed.
