Whirring Colors
I hopped down the porch steps and dashed straight into the front garden! Right beside the gravel path stood a giant rainbow pinwheel planted deep in the dark mulch. Its curved plastic petals looked like cheerful, scooped spoons. I trotted right up, stretched high with both arms, and gave the lowest petal a mighty swat! Swish-whirrr! The whole wheel burst into a buzzing blur of spinning color, sending a brisk morning breeze right into my face. I tumbled back onto a soft patch of moss, gave a delighted hop, and watched the dizzy rainbow spin and spin!
