Snowstorm in a Sphere
I jogged back through the front gate and slipped inside the warm house just as the streetlights flickered on. Up on the bedroom desk, I discovered a heavy glass sphere resting beside a row of books. Inside sat a tiny mountain cabin standing completely still! I planted my boots on the polished wood, cupped the smooth, cold glass with both hands, and gave the heavy orb an earnest tilt. Swish! A furious swirl of glittering white flakes burst into the air, whipping around the cabin like a silent blizzard! I sat down cross-legged, watching the snow slowly settle onto the tiny pine trees. What an awesome, pocket-sized wilderness!
