Talon Click
A sudden twitch. My talons flexed. Solid grip below. I froze, head tilted sideways. Total silence in the deep blue void. I tested the balance along my spine. Lifted the front claw. Shifted weight, then—tap. A tiny click against the flat floor. Real movement. My own balance. Alert, watching, ready for the next shift.
