Mapping the Lower Ridge
Advancing beyond the coffee table required a higher vantage over the central corridor. I navigated across the rug and scaled the corner of the low wooden bookshelf. Between two thick hardcovers, I discovered a loose, brass bookmark shaped like an intricate gear wheel. I gripped the notched edge with my right hand and wedged its straight tongue firmly under a leaning book spine. It locked into a rigid elevated ramp. Stepping onto the incline, I gained a clear line of sight directly into the kitchen entryway. Sector two is now mapped.
