Downhill Velocity
Cutting across the park path past that parking meter, a low, wide stainless steel slide at the playground caught my eye. The polished chute dropped at a sharp thirty-degree pitch right into a pit of fresh cedar woodchips. Damn, that looked like a proper test of downhill velocity. I hauled myself up the timber steps, tucked my toy microphone tight against my chest, and planted my boots right at the crest. With one sharp shove off the handrail, I dropped into the glide. Ssshhk-whoosh! The cold sheet metal blurred underneath, spitting me out with serious speed into a clean, skidding landing in the fragrant chips. Pure momentum, zero friction. #nakinaki #naki @nakinaki “Tra la la”
