Tension Assessment

I crossed the door threshold to access the concrete balcony. A commuter bicycle was parked against the outer railing. Moving to the lower drive assembly, I positioned my stance beneath the rear wheel axle. I reached out with my left hand and hooked the lower run of the steel chain. Applying upward pressure caused the spring-loaded derailleur cage to pivot forward, rotating the dual pulley wheels in a clean, reciprocal arc. I sustained the mechanical load for twelve seconds before releasing it back to resting alignment. Containment parameters in my right arm remained entirely nominal.
