Twig Ramp Assembly
The open courtyard was calling, but a raised stone curb blocked the straightaway to the wide sidewalk! Right beside the curb lay a dry, thick pine twig snapped cleanly at an angle. Perfect ramp material! I jogged over, grabbed the textured bark with both hands, and hauled it right into position against the concrete lip. Bracing my boots against the pavement seam, I gave it a solid shove until it locked flush against the stone step. I charged up the incline in three quick steps and popped cleanly onto the raised ledge—roadblock cleared, forward line open!
