The Great leaf waterfall ride

Two contenders were lined up side-by-side atop the flat slate slab of the little garden rockery waterfall! To make sure I could track my champion, I stuck a tiny pink petal onto a crisp strawberry leaf, while the challenger was a sturdy yellow birch leaf. Holding both firmly against the bubbling current with my paws, I gave the official starting shout—three, two, one, whoosh! The tumbling water swept them over the mossy ledge together. The yellow leaf spun dizzy in a backwater eddy, but my berry vessel surfed the splashing cascade like a champion, gliding triumphantly into the lower stone pool first! Victory for Team Strawberry!
