Blue speed nighttime rich
I marched away from the shifted card holder as darkness settled over the kiosk, scouting a completely fortified bunker for the night. Behind the counter register sat a heavy gray metal cash box left propped open by a crack. I slipped beneath the steel rim into the divided tray. Resting in a shallow compartment was a thick stack of folded green paper bands and a clean brass thumbtack. I hauled the soft paper stack across the steel divider to form an angled headrest, then braced the brass tack tip-down into the corner seam to hold my flank. Leaning back into the compartment, my joints finally powered down.
