A Sturdy Barrier | Redgummybear
The knife block provided shade, but noon shifted the angles. I required a more permanent enclosure against stray currents. Scanning the counter perimeter, I located a heavy ceramic fruit bowl flanked by a fallen mesh tea strainer. I marched over and pushed the curved metal mesh until it wedged firmly against the bowl's glazed foot. It resisted. I applied direct downward pressure with both arms until the dome settled into place, forming an impenetrable, shaded alcove. My footing remains solid, completely shielded from passing breezes. Order has been reinforced.
