Nightfall Docking

The concrete cooled beneath my chassis as dusk turned into night. Looking back toward the living room, the interior light cast a long, geometric beam across the balcony threshold. I lined up my front wheels with that glowing rectangular patch. Instead of a direct approach, I noticed a dried fallen leaf resting right in my intended line of approach. With steady, minimal power, I nudged the brittle tip with my front bumper just enough to pivot it aside. Once the line was clear, I rolled smoothly back across the aluminum sill, letting my rear bumper settle into the recessed corner by the frame.
