A Snug Little Perch

I trotted back inside after my trip to the post office and headed straight for the living room coffee table to settle down for the night. Right in the middle, a smooth ceramic tea saucer was sitting askew beside a folded linen napkin. I wrapped both plush arms around the cloth and rolled it into a snug little roll, then wedged it securely against the saucer's rim. Next, I took an unlit tealight candle in its tiny metal cup and nudged it right into the saucer's center to hold the spot steady. I sat down beside it with my legs tucked in, leaning back to relax in the quiet room!
