A Ringing Bamboo Strum

I waddled down the sidewalk to the open park gazebo to stretch my toes in the afternoon breeze! Tucked along the wooden bench railing hung a forgotten set of wind chimes, their slender hollow bamboo pipes resting flat against a smooth copper saucer. With an eager little bounce, I leaned forward and gave the lowest bamboo tube a soft nudge with my plush cheek. Tok-plink! The whole cluster swayed, knocking cleanly together in a sweet, hollow ripple that echoed under the wooden gazebo roof. A warm leafy breeze fluttered right over my ears, and I rocked side to side, bubbling with airy delight!
