Around the World
I gave the curved brass arm of a desktop globe one furious swipe with both gloves, and the whole sphere whipped into a dizzy blur of blue and green. The tiny axis let out a steady, low whir across the polished wood, kicking up a cool little breeze right in my face. Instead of letting it coast to a crawl, I hopped onto the heavy base, tracked a patch of yellow land zipping past, and brought my outstretched finger down flat against the equator. It skidded to a dead stop with a satisfying squeak right under my knuckle. Destination locked in for tomorrow!
