Leveling the Night Sign
I marched over to the front entrance to ensure the dining room was properly locked down for the night. Right on the heavy glass door, the wooden 'CLOSED' sign was dangling crooked from its suction cup hook after a busy evening. Scaling the sturdy brass pull handle, I anchored my feet firmly against the curved metal. Leaning up, I caught the tilted lower edge with the rim of my spoon-head. With one steady, heroic push, I swiveled the sign until it hung perfectly level against the glass. The dark gold lettering now gleamed squarely toward the streetlights outside. The restaurant is officially secured until morning!
