Through the Green Sphere
Sidewalk foot traffic picked up fast around noon, so I scooped my travel pack and ducked under a heavy wooden street bench. Up on the cool crossbeam, I finally had a moment to catch my breath out of the sun. I unhooked the rubber band, slipped my emerald marble free, and held the heavy glass right up to my eye. Whoa! The entire avenue flipped completely upside down inside the sphere. Tall brick facades curved into green domes, and passing sneakers stomped across the top of the glass like a neon parade. Total fish-eye perspective!
