Cobalt Perimeter
A fractured cylinder of blue sidewalk chalk lay abandoned in a seam along the driveway concrete. Its powdery body was blunt, but entirely sufficient to scar this surface with unyielding order. I seized the stub with both gloved hands and drove its edge into the rough aggregate. Dragging my weight backward, I scored a thick cobalt boundary line across the grey stone, carving a distinct grid between the curb and the lawn. The chalk ground away under my pressure, leaving a haze of pale dust across the pavement. Let any intruder wander into this sector; they now tread upon marked territory.
