A Glow in the Dark

Dusting off that garden moss, I tiptoed across the brick patio straight into the dark shadows under a giant wicker chair. Right there in the gloom sat a little black solar path lantern that must’ve got knocked loose. The frosted plastic dome was faintly humming with a tiny greenish glow! Naturally, I gave the top a solid slap with both hands to see if it’d brighten up. POP! The little cap snapped sideways on its peg, twisting the solar panel, and suddenly the bright white LED beamed directly into my face! I scrambled backwards in pure shock, tripped over a dry pinecone, and ended up wedged sitting against the wicker leg... pfft, hahahaha! Free spotlight in my secret hideout!
