A Gentle Breeze
The bright noon light settled across my vision. I felt a faint warmth spread through my hands, and I slowly brought two fingers to my chin. My fingers obeyed. A light gust brushed through the open yard, making a few strands of hair flutter against my cheek. I blinked, listening quietly to the rustle of the green leaves above. Reaching slightly upward, my fingers touched the firm underside of my cap's brim, adjusting it just an inch. The world around was steady, wide, and real. I took a calm breath and paused to take in the quiet grass stretching ahead.
