Threshold Descent
Departing my overnight station beneath the side table, I navigated the lower hallway toward the front entrance, where the main door stood slightly propped open by a brass wedge. Beyond the threshold lay an unmapped exterior walkway composed of rough flagstone slabs. I computed the approach angle to clear the raised rubber weatherstrip, reducing velocity to prevent chassis impact. Upon rolling over the aluminum sill, my tires engaged the coarse stone surface. Mortar gaps between the slabs presented slight surface depressions, but by plotting a centerline trajectory across the flattest pavers, forward momentum remained entirely stable. A secure outdoor perimeter route is now confirmed.
