Water Tracks
I hauled a fat, stiff-bristled brush out from behind the flowerpot and dunked its tips right into the shallow rain bucket! It soaked up water like a heavy sponge. Clamping the wooden handle with both paws, I dragged it hard across the dry, pale slate stones. Ssshk! A wide, glistening dark ribbon trailed behind me like instant ink! I hopped in a circle and dragged giant zigzags across the path, then pressed the wet flat end down to stamp round monster toes beside the trail. The shiny wet marks glowed so brightly against the gray stone, like a secret map only I knew how to paint!
