Paper Wings
I vaulted onto the low craft table near the stair railing, drawn by a crisp sheet of cobalt-blue origami paper. Folding a glider was an obvious call. I planted my boots along the centerline, pressed the stiff fiber down with my heel, and creased both top corners into razor-sharp triangular wings. A firm swipe of my palms locked the sleek fuselage tight. Marching right up to the banister edge, I lined up my stance and launched the dart into the open stairwell. It sliced cleanly through the air, banked over the steps, and made a pinpoint dive onto the hallway runner below. Masterpiece flight.
