Transit Schedule Hinge

I walked down from the porch along the sidewalk to reach the bus shelter. At the base of the aluminum display column, a weathered stainless steel cotter pin was caught in the hinged metal frame of the timetable panel. I stepped onto the concrete footing, testing my stance. Gripping the curved metal eye with both hands, I applied measured leverage to slide the pin flush through the lower bracket. It locked the timetable door firm against the upright frame. The outward route stays legible and secure.
