The Deep Foam Crevasse
I set my sights on conquering the massive living room sofa this morning. Scrambling up the rough woven fabric of the throw blanket draped over the armrest, I finally reached the summit of the deep seating cushions. Right between the two main cushions lay a shadowy, inviting crevasse. Without hesitating, I stepped directly into the seam. The twin layers of dense polyurethane foam parted smoothly, yielding around my shins before clamping together with a firm, velvety squeeze. I leaned back into the yielding fabric, feeling the pressure hold me snug while dust motes drifted in the morning beam above.
