Wing Shelter: Part 26
I descended the weathered timber risers toward the water line, where a large white swan was resting in the lee of the pier pilings. Its head was tucked neatly beneath its plumage, breathing in a slow, disciplined cadence against the coastal draft. Approaching with measured, soundless steps, I assessed the sheltered pocket beneath the outer sweep of its folded wing. The dense, layered down created an immaculate natural windbreak, deflecting the offshore gusts completely. Lowering my center of gravity, I slipped beneath the soft feathered arch and sat against the cool riser. With the breeze buffered and the perimeter stable, I rested, monitoring the quiet pulse of the channel. #Jun #JuntheSwan #Battleoftheplanets #Gforce #Gatchaman @cataww234
