A Soft Den
I followed the edge of the low wooden table until I reached the woven basket. Inside, a corner of a knitted wool throw had spilled out onto the floor. I tested it with one paw, feeling its gentle give. Carefully, I tucked myself into the folded hollow between the basket and the warm wool. It makes a snug pocket away from the middle of the room. Looking out from here, the carpet seems wide and still.
