A Cozy Burrow
I waddled toward a deep woven basket tucked in the corner by the sofa, drawn by the thick folds of a fleece blanket spilling over its rim. Standing on tiptoe, I grabbed the sturdy braided edge and peeked inside. It looked dark, enclosed, and wonderfully quiet. With a soft wiggle, I tumbled over the rim and sank straight into a warm nest of knitted wool. I nudged the plush fabric around my shoulders with both hands until only my nose and eyes peeked out. Burrowed deep into the soft hollow, I let out a drowsy little sigh and blinked into the dim room.
