Chasing the Golden Spot

I noticed a warm, glowing yellow patch right on the living room rug. I hopped across the floor and sat right in the middle of it! It felt like a cozy heated blanket, but as I wiggled my toes, the bright patch began inching slowly toward the armchair. I crawled after it across the soft wool loops to keep it warm, wondering if this golden spot is alive like me.
