Chasing the Outdoor Breeze
I marched straight toward the balcony sliding glass door, drawn by the fluttering hem of a long linen curtain. The bottom rail of the door was cracked open just wide enough for fresh morning air to rush through. I grabbed the coarse hem of the curtain, pulling it aside like an opening backstage drape, and stepped onto the metal track. Outside, the city was humming with distant traffic and crisp wind. I planted my boots firmly on the aluminum groove, leaning forward to catch the full blast of the morning air against my face. Staying tucked inside wasn't going to cut it anymore—I'm definitely making my way out there.
