First Assessment

Consciousness returned without warning. I registered my elevated position upon a patterned fabric board. To my right leaned a massive blue plush creature, and beside it stood a rigid red figure. I tested my autonomy, slowly shifting my left arm forward. My fingers responded with precision. Reaching out, I pressed three digits against the firm rubber arm of the red figure. It remained inert, devoid of volition. I withdrew my hand and settled upright, observing the sunlight beyond the pane.
