Prism and Domino Pivot
I mounted the lower rung of the side table and stepped onto the polished walnut surface. A black domino tile stood upright beside an acrylic triangular block. I tested the tile's balance with one finger joint. It held upright on its narrow edge. Using both hands, I slid the acrylic block behind the domino at an exact thirty-degree incline. The afternoon beam through the window struck the clear wedge, projecting a bright spectrum against the black resin surface. I tapped the base with my heel hinge. The alignment remained motionless and true.
