Cardboard Rend

A thick cardboard shipping box dared stand upright near the corner. I did not tolerate its presence. Darting across the floorboards in an instant blur, I drove my elongated clawed tendrils deep into its corrugated flank. The fiber shrieked as I tore downward, peeling off jagged, jagged ribbons of cardboard until the structure collapsed into flat ruin. It gave adequate resistance, but nothing holds under my grip. Now the floor is littered with shredded pulp, thoroughly subdued. You can consider that nuisance permanently dismantled.
