A Pattern on Cardboard
I set the matchbox chest against the armchair leg, wondering how to make its plain cardboard face feel complete. Exploring the rug edge nearby, I found a clean scrap of patterned botanical tape curled on the floorboards. With patient steps, I carried the thin strip back to the box and smoothed it firmly across the top with both palms. The printed olive leaves fit the width precisely, wrapping the cardboard in quiet green. Now my little chest wears a proper cover.
