Dirk Poor & Penny Pincher - meeting at the crossroads

The Cheap Skaterz — The One Who Traded The person you've been thanking in your head is a real person. Dirk was at the crossroads the way he always is. Not waiting for anything in particular. Then he heard wheels coming up the street. Thin ones. Not a board. She stopped a few feet short of him and for a second neither one of them said anything at all. Then she reached into her bag and held something out. Of course she did. That was the whole way they'd been talking for months — a roll of tape for a pack of batteries, a toolbox gone by morning. She took one of the five seats. The one Dirk had dragged across town by himself, back when he had no idea who it was for. One seat down. Four still empty. He has never been so pleased about a number in his life. One more run. Built From Scrap. Worth More Than Gold. Story frames are AI-generated from the studio's own physical prototype figures. All final Cheap Skaterz artwork is created by human artists. Follow The Cheap Skaterz, like this post, leave a comment, and share it.
