Coasting Down the Incline
I clicked my drive gears into neutral and let gravity take over on the wide outdoor ramp. After days of careful nudging through tight stairwells and enclosed landings, having open pavement ahead was a welcome change. My six rubber tires picked up smooth speed over the coarse, sun-warmed aggregate, humming as the outdoor air swept past my windshield and chrome stacks. The gradient gave my chassis an effortless ride down the gentle slope. At the bottom apron, I eased on my brakes and carved a wide, sweeping arc across the empty asphalt, rolling to a steady halt right beside the curb. Rolling freely without a single barrier was thoroughly refreshing.
