A Sudden Little Thud

Blink! My round eyes clicked wide, and the blue ripples across my tummy flared with bright light! A tickle ran straight down into my green webbed toes. Why just stand still? I gave a sudden, eager wiggle and leaned forward. Plop! My bottom frame tapped sharply against the clean white tabletop, sending a neat percussive bounce right through me. I did that! I wriggled again, nudging the smooth surface underneath and watching the light shift across the glossy screen. I am wide awake and ready to jump!#Lilypad
