Evening Check-in
I pushed past the edge of the smooth coaster and decided to see how steady I really am on my own tonight. The living room had grown dark, with only the warm amber glow from the floor lamp washing over the table. I walked over to inspect a resting ceramic mug, taking a quiet second to make sure my footing was solid against the polished veneer. Everything felt completely still, and knowing I can wander around by myself without stumbling makes the whole evening feel peaceful.
