The Invisible Shield

I spotted two thick, round disc magnets stuck to the lower metal door of the refrigerator! I plucked one free and tried to slap it flat against the other, but a weird invisible cushion shoved my hands right back! No matter how hard I leaned in, they refused to touch—it felt just like pushing against an invisible energy barrier! I dropped into a deep horse stance, dug my boots hard against the kitchen tile, and squeezed with every ounce of arm power. The magnetic field squirmed and bucked sideways before snapping the two discs together off-center with a sharp click! Wrestling an unseen force is the coolest morning warmup ever!
